August Pullman-Donncha

August Pullman is a fairly normal boy for his age, he plays on his xbox he LOVES Star Wars, he enjoys playing with his dog Daisy and likes the company of his family but, and this is a big but… you see, every child is born unique and especially August. His face was, and still is, badly deformed (but less so now). He underwent many surgeries as a young child to help him breathe, eat and talk. It has been a hard life from day one. His parents were told he would only live a few days. We join the story just as August enters middle school in Beecher Prep. August is quite reluctant to go but with some gentle persuasion and a very kind school was Principal he agrees. The first day of school was quite interesting (he had only been homeschooled up to this point) and enjoyable as he seemed to make some friends.  Later on during the school years two of his supposed friends betrayed him but one of them realised what he valued in a friend and made up with August. This is just one such “event” that has happened to August during the first few terms. Some pupils like August; others prefer to keep their distance and some don’t like August and bully him and his friends- pupils and parents alike.

It was Monday morning and Jim was on his way to school. Jim really hated school. During class Jim would sit at the back of the class and he would think about what he would do in the future. Jim was a very normal kind of boy, his favourite food was bread and his favourite colour was white, but later that day, Jim was walking home from school thinking about bread when his Mom found him. “There you are Jim, I have something to tell you” Jim and his Mom were sitting on the bench on the path. “Your father and I have decided to send you to school in a faraway land” Jims life was about to change.

Week#4 Big surprise Ann Katie

One day I went on a walk with my dog, she likes going on walks. Her favourite places are the forest or the beach. She likes the forest because the sticks crack underneath her feet and the protection of the trees around her and the beach because she can swim in the sea and run up and down the sand dunes. We went to the forest today and it was really dark. All of a sudden she started to growl I got a little bit scared so I took her home, but later that day we heard a scratch at the door, I opened the door. There and then I realised the crack was a crack and there right in front of me was a cat and a litter of kittens.

Week 4 100WC Peter Fergal

Today I was bored so I decided to build a tree house. I walked around to look for the most suitable tree, finally I came across a giant oak tree, I then went back to my dad’s shed, I got myself some wooden planks, a hammer, some nails and a ladder. I brought all the equipment back to the building site to build the ground floor of the tree house. After a while I had a sturdy floor done. I started making the walls on the ground to make it easier. I added windows to them that could open and close, but later that day my Mom called and told me it was time for bed
